GETTING TO TIREE
Ferry
The most popular method of travel to Tiree, Cal Mac provides a daily ferry service from Oban to Tiree that takes approximately 4 hours. The ferry is already full for vehicles going out to Tiree however there is no need to bring you car to TMF as shuttle buses will operate all week from the ferry terminal to the festival site.

PRE-BOOK FERRY TICKETS – EXCLUSIVE TO TMF TICKET-HOLDERS
Exclusively to TMF Cal Mac are now providing a pre-book ‘foot passenger’ ticket which can be purchased now to guarantee your space on the ferry. This is strongly advised due to the high volume of passengers travelling to and from the festival. Key points for pre-booking your ticket:
· You can only purchase foot passengers tickets by phoning Oban. Call 01631 566688 and ask to be transferred to the Oban office to purchase passenger tickets for the Tiree Music Festival. Tickets cannot be bought online.
· You will be requested to provide the following information: name, address, phone number and your TMF ticket reference number which will be found on your ticket. It is extremely important that you confirm what day you will be travelling to Tiree and returning to Oban. If for any reason you would like to change the days after booking then this will have to be brought to Cal Mac’s attention as you will only be able to travel on the specified sailing. There will be an admin charge of £10 applied if you do not show for the ticket. All tickets will be held securely and will be available for collection at the point of travel on production of your Cal Mac reservation number.
· Passenger tickets for this service are only available to those attending the Tiree Music Festival. Once passenger capacity has been reached on certain sailings you may be offered an alternative date/time.
· Tickets can be bought for Monday 15th – Monday 22nd of July.
ADDITIONAL SAILINGS:
We are pleased to confirm that there will be special additional ferry sailings to and from Tiree this year for the festival.
Oban to Tiree: Wednesday 17th July
The direct sailing (no service to Coll) will depart Oban on Wednesday July 17th at 2.30pm (latest check-in 13:45) to arrive at Tiree approx 18:05 and depart Tiree at 18:20 to arrive back in Oban 21:50
Tiree to Oban: Monday 22nd July
As with previous festivals there will 2 ferries departing Tiree on the Monday 22nd July to accommodate the large volume of passengers from the festival. The scheduled sailing at 12noon and the Barra sailing will stop off at Tiree on route to Oban at approx 11.30. Please note if you are intending to catch the Oban – Castlebay sailing then you will have to catch the 11.30 Tiree sailing as it will be the same ferry travelling to Barra.

Getting to Oban for the Ferry
There are daily train and bus services to Oban from Glasgow. For more information, schedules and ticket prices please visit www.spt.co.uk
If driving to Oban in a vehicle, there are various parking locations in Oban to leave your car for the weekend while attending the festival. Please plan in advance as many parking spots are a 5-10min walk to the ferry terminal.
FLY TO TIREE
GLASGOW – TIREE
Travel in style to TMF! Flybe operate flights to Tiree direct from Glasgow. It is a stunning flight with scenic views of Mull and the Treshnish Islands. Flights in the summer run 7 days a week and take approx 40 minutes.

OBAN – TIREE
Hebridean Air run scheduled services from Oban (Connell) to Tiree on Mondays and Wednesdays, however you can also travel like a rockstar and charter your own flight to Tiree!

TRANSPORT ON TIREE
While on Tiree there are many ways for getting around. Located at the ferry terminal, MacLennan Motors provides a Car and Bike hire service. Car hire is available for £40 per day and bikehire £10 a day. For more information please call 01879 220 555.
There is also a Ring and Ride Bus Service, which is demand responsive and must be booked in advance. This service can be contacted on 01879 220 419.
There will be shuttle buses running from the ferry terminal to the festival site during the weekend of the festival. These buses will run from Wednesday 17th July until Monday 22nd July. Return ticket for the bus is £5 and is payable when boarding. TMF Staff will be at the ferry terminal and festival site assist with any queries.
