Here at Tiree Music Festival, we are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible event for everyone. If you have any questions or would like to discuss your accessibility requirements, please contact us at office@tireemusicfestival.co.uk.
General Access
All public areas at Tiree Music Festival are accessible to wheelchair users. Please note that the festival takes place on a grassy field, which can be sloped or uneven in places. If you experience any difficulties while on site, please speak to a member of staff, they will be happy to assist you.
Tickets and Personal Assistants
Concession-priced tickets are available to anyone receiving a disability allowance, including Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
If you require a personal assistant (PA) to attend the festival, your PA is eligible for a complimentary ticket. To apply, please email office@tireemusicfestival.co.uk with the name of the person requiring the PA ticket and supporting evidence of eligibility. All information will be handled sensitively and in confidence.
Accessible Camping
We provide a designated accessible camping area within the main campsite. This area is located close to toilet facilities and near the main entrance for easier access.
No advance booking is required, simply visit the Box Office on arrival, and our team will be happy to assist you.
Toilets and Showers
-
Accessible Toilets: Fully accessible toilets for wheelchair users are available in the main toilet area and within the campsite.
-
Medical Needs: If you have a medical condition that requires urgent access to a toilet, please speak to a member of the First Aid team at the First Aid station. They will ensure you can access a toilet quickly if needed.
-
Showers: Please note that campsite shower facilities are not wheelchair accessible. If you would like to discuss your needs in advance, contact us at office@tireemusicfestival.co.uk.
Parking
We have two car park fields; however, the ground may be uneven in places. Where possible, we recommend dropping off wheelchair users at the main entrance for easier access.
If this does not meet your requirements, please contact us at office@tireemusicfestival.co.uk, and we will be happy to discuss alternative options.
Assistance Dogs
A “recognised Assistance Dog” is trained to assist a disabled person and is qualified by a charitable organisation that is a member of Assistance Dogs UK.
If you are bringing an Assistance Dog to the festival, please email office@tireemusicfestival.co.uk in advance so we can make any necessary arrangements to support you and your dog.
Strobe Lighting
Some music performances may include strobe lighting. If you are sensitive to flashing lights or have a condition such as photosensitive epilepsy, please take care and consider speaking to a member of staff for advice on safe viewing areas.
Folding Camp Chairs
Folding camp chairs are welcome in the arena, there is a designated area for them in the Big Top Tent, and they are not permitted outside this area. During busy periods, you may be asked to put your chair away.
If you have accessibility needs and require your chair, please let the staff member know. We will do our best to find a suitable solution or alternative location so you can continue to enjoy the performance comfortably.
The health and safety of all festival-goers is our top priority.
