SPEAR SAUNA

We’re delighted to welcome Spear Sauna back to TMF 2026, bringing their unique wood-fired sauna experience to the shores of Crossapol Beach throughout the festival weekend.

There’s something pretty special about warming up in a sauna while looking out across Tiree’s stunning coastline. Whether you’ve just come from an early morning swim, spent the day exploring the island or simply need a moment to recharge between sets, Spear Sauna offers the perfect place to relax, reset and take in the views.

Operating daily Thursday- Sunday from 8.30am until 7.30pm, Spear Sauna will provide up to 20 spaces per hour across two sauna tents, allowing festival-goers plenty of opportunity to enjoy one of TMF’s most popular wellness experiences.

With the beach on your doorstep and the festival just a short walk away, it’s the perfect way to start your day, recover after an adventure, or simply embrace a slower pace for an hour.

Advance booking is recommended as sessions are expected to fill quickly.

TIREE FITNESS - COMMUNITY BEACH YOGA

Led by Will Wright of Tiree Fitness, this year’s daily free morning beach yoga sessions will take place at 9:30am Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

These sessions have become a hugely successful and popular part of the wider TMF experience, encouraging wellbeing, connection and positive daytime engagement across the site and island environment.

The beach sessions will continue to act as an open and welcoming community wellness offering within the festival programme.

RESET & RECHARGE

Take a moment away from the festival with a 15-minute Express Recovery Massage from Will from Tiree Fitness & Skye from Solstice Skye.

A full weekend of music, dancing, camping and island adventures can take its toll on the body. Whether you’ve been on your feet all day, travelling across the island or simply fancy treating yourself, these revitalising back and shoulder massages are designed to ease tension, boost recovery and leave you feeling refreshed, restored and ready for whatever comes next.

Your TMF 2026 Fancy Dress theme is… the return of MYTHS & LEGENDS

That’s right, after the unbelievable effort you all put into last year’s costumes, we simply had to bring it back for round two!

From Celtic warriors and Hebridean mermaids to mystical creatures, sea legends and mythical heroes – we can’t wait to see what you dream up this time around

The competition will take place all day Friday, with prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd crowned on the Elevate Stage.

BLACKHOUSE WATERSPORTS

No trip to Tiree would be complete without getting in the water. Whether you’re catching your very first wave or looking to build on existing skills, the team at Blackhouse Watersports offers a warm welcome, expert instruction and access to some of the island’s most iconic beaches.

TMF & SCREEN ARGYLL CINEMA

Take a break from the sun, wind and waves and enjoy a unique festival cinema experience with our friends at Screen Argyll.

Running throughout the weekend, the Screen Argyll space will host a carefully curated programme of films celebrating music, culture, community and storytelling, alongside family favourites and award-winning documentaries.

Highlights include Sailm nan Daoine (Psalms of the People), a moving documentary exploring the tradition of Gaelic psalm singing, with director Jack Archer and lead Rob MacNeacail joining TMF for special introductions, Q&A sessions and a singing-in-the-round workshop over the weekend.

The programme also features the coming-of-age music drama Trad, Scottish documentary The Golden Spurtle, family favourite Bugsy Malone, the acclaimed animated feature Maya, Give Me a Title! and California Schemin’, the incredible true story of two Scottish rappers who reinvented themselves as Californian hip-hop stars.

All screenings are free with a TMF festival pass.

At the heart of the Festival Village you’ll find our biggest family space yet. A dedicated area packed with creativity, adventure, imagination and play.

Designed for younger festival-goers and their grown-ups, the Play Village offers a full day of hands-on activities, creative workshops, circus skills, giant bubbles, beach games and outdoor adventures. From building mini rafts and mystical creatures to decorating festival bags and flying kites on the beach, there’s something happening throughout the day to inspire curious minds and busy hands.

PUPPET MAKING WITH DONNA OWENS

From sea monsters to mythical creatures, join Donna Owens from Puppet Stew Arts and create your very own puppet character to take on a festival adventure.

Join experienced festival artist Donna Owens from Puppet Stew Arts for a hands-on puppet-making workshop packed with creativity, imagination and plenty of festival fun.

Using a colourful mix of materials, children and families will have the chance to design and build their own unique puppet creations before bringing them to life through play and storytelling.

With over 20 years of experience delivering workshops at festivals across the UK, Donna’s sessions are welcoming, inclusive and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re creating a mythical creature, a sea monster or a character of your own invention, this is your chance to let your imagination take centre stage.

PLAY VILLAGE BALL PARK

Located within the Festival Village, our secure Ball Park gives younger festival-goers a dedicated space to run, play and burn off some energy between adventures.

From football and frisbee to touch rugby and impromptu games with new friends, it’s the perfect place for young heroes and heroines to let loose while parents enjoy everything else the festival has to offer.

Designed for fun, freedom and friendly competition, the Ball Park is open throughout the day and free to use for all TMF families.

Just remember to save a little energy for the dancefloor later.

FACEPAINTING

Let your imagination run wild in the Festival Village as our talented face-painting team transform festival-goers into creatures of legend, sparkling mermaids, fearless warriors, sea witches and more.

A firm TMF favourite for children and grown-ups alike, our friendly artists will be on hand to add a little colour, creativity and festival magic to your weekend.

SILENT DISCO – DAYTIME ADVENTURES

Tiny dancers, assemble! Grab a pair of glowing LED headphones and choose your own musical adventure with up to three channels to explore. Whether you’re singing at the top of your lungs, showing off your best dance moves or simply enjoying the magic of a silent dancefloor, there’s fun for all ages.

Good to know:
• Up to 200 headsets available per session
• Headphones must remain within the festival site

SILENT DISCO – NIGHT GROOVERS

As darkness falls and the stars appear over the Atlantic, the party continues.Choose your channel, tune in and lose yourself on one of the most unique dancefloors at TMF. With multiple music channels, guest DJs, festival favourites and plenty of late-night energy, the Silent Disco has become a firm favourite for those not quite ready to call it a night.

And for the final session before bed, expect a few special guests, a packed dancefloor and one last chance to dance under the TMF mirror ball. Good to know:

GAELIC PSALM SINGING IN THE ROUND WORKSHOP

Join Rob MacNeacail for an introduction to the unique tradition of Gaelic psalm singing in the round.

Drawing on a centuries-old practice still heard in communities across Scotland, this welcoming workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn the techniques, history and distinctive style of communal Gaelic singing. No previous experience is required and all are welcome to take part.

Following the workshop, participants will be invited to come together on Sunday for a shared singing-in-the-round session following the TMF Sunday Service.

Whether you’re a singer, a Gaelic speaker or simply curious to experience one of Scotland’s most powerful living traditions, this promises to be a memorable and moving part of the festival weekend.

Join us on Sunday morning for the annual TMF Sunday Service, a relaxed and welcoming gathering bringing together festival-goers, island residents and visitors for a moment of reflection, community and song.

A much-loved tradition and a gentle way to begin the final day of the festival.

GAELIC SINGING IN THE ROUND

Experience one of Scotland’s most powerful living traditions as Rob MacNeacail leads a Gaelic Singing in the Round session inspired by the film Sailm nan Daoine (Psalms of the People).

Following a weekend workshop exploring the history and practice of Gaelic psalm singing, participants and audience members are invited to come together and experience this unique form of communal song, where voices weave and overlap to create a rich and moving sound unlike any other musical tradition.

Whether you are taking part or simply listening, this promises to be a special cultural moment and a fitting way to close the festival weekend.

TIREE DISTILLERY – TÌR AN EÒRNA (LAND OF BARLEY)

Discover Tiree’s first re-established distillery in generations and learn how island ingredients, landscape and heritage have shaped a truly unique spirit.

Experience one of Scotland’s most powerful living traditions as Rob MacNeacail leads a Gaelic Singing in the Round session inspired by the film Sailm nan Daoine (Psalms of the People).

Following a weekend workshop exploring the history and practice of Gaelic psalm singing, participants and audience members are invited to come together and experience this unique form of communal song, where voices weave and overlap to create a rich and moving sound unlike any other musical tradition.

Whether you are taking part or simply listening, this promises to be a special cultural moment and a fitting way to close the festival weekend.

At the heart of Tiree Music Festival, the Community Village is a space dedicated to celebrating the people, creativity, and community spirit that make Tiree and the Highlands & Islands so special. Wander through the tent and you’ll find a diverse mix of local makers, artists, small businesses, charities, and home bakers! If you’re craving that freshly made cake, you’ll find it here! From handcrafted products and original artwork to local initiatives and island enterprises, every stall has its own story to tell and offers a glimpse into life across our island communities.

Rooted in Tiree and shaped by the values of collaboration, creativity, and connection, the Community Village reflects the welcoming atmosphere that has always been at the heart of the festival. Take some time to stop by, meet the exhibitors, learn more about the organisations and initiatives represented, and celebrate the people who help our island and wider region thrive. Whether you’re visiting Tiree for the first time or returning once again, we hope you’ll find inspiration, connection, and a warm island welcome.

This year we’ll have a mix of artists, fundraisers, bakers & everything in between so make sure to have a look in the Community Tent!

Dot Sim Jewellery, Tiree Stone Craft, Farmhouse Cafe, Moonstone & Salt are for all the jewellery and souvenir lovers. The Bake Shed Tiree will have delicious baked goods Friday & Saturday from 12pm – 4pm, while Tiree Ranger Service, Tiree Fire Station, Tiree Trust, An Talla Tiree & Project Trust will be telling you all about the great causes they are fundraising for.

TIREE DISTILLERY – TÌR AN EÒRNA (LAND OF BARLEY)

Discover Tiree’s first re-established distillery in generations and learn how island ingredients, landscape and heritage have shaped a truly unique spirit.

Using seaweed harvested from Tiree’s crystal-clear waters, Tiree Gin captures the character of the island with delicate coastal sweetness, balanced by grassy, floral and vanilla notes.

Tours and tastings are available throughout the festival weekend.
