Highland duo Carma have had a busy start to 2018 with a new single, new sounds, a Scottish Tour, and it’s about to continue over the Summer too.
Carma formed in early 2016 and released their debut EP ‘Serendipity’ in early 2017. The duo is made up of the velvet tone of Carmen Beaton on vocals and ukulele and Kenna Ross on Piano and vocal harmonies. The duo have been likened to the Cranberry’s, First Aid Kit and Daughter.
After touring their first EP in 2017, the female duo played a range of festivals including Belladrum, Celtic Connections and XPOnorth, performed on TV for the first time with a slot on STV2’s Live at Five show.
The start of 2018 seen a tour around Scotland playing venues such as Tunnels Aberdeen, Sneaky Petes, Broadcast and Ironworks.
This year the duo is growing as they introduce percussion and extra sounds to develop the sound.
This Summer the duo are playing at XpoNorth, Belladrum, Joctoberfest and Tiree Festival so get to one of those to see them play!
After Summer the girls plan to write and record for an album coming out early next year.
