From the Highlands of Scotland, Marianne began learning traditional music from an early age.  She took fiddle lessons with Aonghas Grant Senior before moving up to the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music in Plockton.  Since graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, Marianne has toured the folk scene extensively, both in Scotland and internationally with contemporary sextet CherryGrove.  She has branched out of the folk scene with pop-rock band Medals, appearing at T in the Park, opening for Biffy Clyro and touring with Twin Atlantic. Now focusing more on her solo career she takes to the stage with Daniel Hunter for TMF 2017.
