TMF CODE OF CONDUCT
Tiree Music Festival has a zero tolerance towards illegal substances, underage drinking and anti-‐social behavior. Anyone found with illegal substances, behaving in an anti-‐social manner or under the influence of alcohol under the age of 18 will be ejected from the festival site and reported to the police. Tiree Music Festival encourages sensible drinking.
NO ALCOHOL CAN BE TAKEN INTO THE COMMUNITY VILLAGE OR MAIN ARENA
Please leave any alcohol you have purchased at home or in your tent. If you attempt to bring alcohol into the community village and main arena it will be confiscated and you risk being ejected from the festival for breaching our licensing conditions.
CAMPSITES CODE OF CONDUCT
NO VEHICLES ALLOWED ON ANY OF THE CAMPSITES
There shall be two car parks available at the festival site. One located at the family campsite and another behind the general campsite. There will be no charge for this service. Camping is not permitted in the car parks
NO GLASS (BOTTLES/TUMBLERS) BROUGHT INTO MAIN ARENA / CAMPSITE
Campers wishing to bring their own drink (alcohol or soft drinks) into the campsite must have it contained in a plastic bottle or cans. THERE IS A STRICT NO GLASS POLICY. There will be no facility to ‘decant’ liquid at the site entrance on arrival so please do this before you arrive at the festival.
Due to licensing restrictions no alcohol can be taken into the Community Village or Main arena.
UNDER 18′s ON CAMPSITES
A responsible adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18 whilst staying on the campsite, 1 Adult can be responsible for up to 3 under 18’s only – the adult must also be staying on site.
Under 18’s attempting to bring alcohol onsite will have this confiscated and disposed as part of our Health & Safety Agreement. There will be bag searches on check in to the campsite.
COOKING AREAS
There will be special cooking areas within the campsites for small gas cookers & portable barbecues. You are free to bring on your own food and there will also be food vendors on site. Please only cook in these areas. Fires are not permitted on the campsite.
AMPLIFIED/ACCOUSTIC MUSIC
No amplified or acoustic music will be allowed on the Campsite between the hours of 11pm and 9am.
NEIGHBOURS
Please get to know the people camping around you and help create a good atmosphere. Be considerate of your neighbours and keep the noise down at night. Anyone causing a disturbance in the campsite will be removed from the festival site.
FIREWORKS/FIRE LANTERNS
Strictly no Fireworks or fire lanterns are allowed anywhere on the festival site or campsites. Those caught doing so will be removed from the festival site.
ADDITIONAL FESTIVAL INFORMATION
There will be a shuttle bus providing transport from the ferry terminal to the TMF Campsite daily from Wednesday 6th until Monday 11th July at a cost of £12 for a return ticket. The TMF site is a 10min walk from the airport.
PARKING
There are 2 car parks next to the TMF site, these are free of charge and we ask that you use these when dropping people off so that we don’t disturb the flow of traffic around the island.
CHAIRS & BLANKETS
You are welcome to bring blankets and folding camp chairs into the site, however we ask that you don’t block any access points and if an area becomes busy you may be asked by our security team to either move somewhere else or put them away.
PETS
Pet dogs are only allowed entry into the main / chill out, Campervan area, and family campsites. They are not permitted within the VIP glamping site, festival arena or any other fields in and around the festival site. Please be aware that livestock will be in surrounding fields so extra care of pets is essential. Pets must be kept on a lead at all times within the campsites.
LITTER
Tiree is a stunning location and we would like your help in keeping it that way. Please use the bins provided. Rubbish Bags are available from the festival office should you want one for your tent.
HAZARDS
Most of the site is farmland so please take care on uneven ground. The roads surrounding the festival site have cattle grids so please be vigilant and avoid these where possible.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER OUR ISLAND
There is no doubt that what makes TMF a special festival is the stunning location, please look after our island as if it where your own home. We wouldn’t be able to put on the Festival each year without the support of the local community, please treat them with the respect they deserve and try to minimise the disruption to their everyday lives.
